Surreal experiment

this is the surreal experiment we did as a group, it is about a boy who cames to school, and everyone is in love with mannequins and in the end, he falls in love with the mannequin and runs off with his true love.
I really enjoyed planning and filming this experiment as it allows me to think outside the box and in a surrealist filmmaker mind

surrelism experiment- pre-production: storyboard

This is our storyboard for the surrealist experiment, for our film 'The man with the mannequin' the concept of the film a schoolboy who came to school and everyone had fallen in love with these mannequins so he felt really lonely. so finally when someone approaches him, he had already fallen for the mannequin himself and he runs off the with a mannequin and they live happily forever.

these are the locations we are going to use when filming.

 location 1: we chose this location as we thought it can be used for many scenes such as when the main characters  are being chased and the fight scene by the person that locked them in. 

location 2: we chose this location for when the character is being chased and ends up in the room, while they figure out what to do. also for the scene, the director is seen and the crew at the end.

narrative: Curfew

Equilibrium = Normal life. The beginning of a story.

Disequilibrium = The dramatic change. The middle of a story, where something happens.

New Equilibrium = New normal life. The ending of a story, the new life of the characters.

In the film Curfew, the equilibrium is that the character Richie wants to kill himself and hasn't found the purpose to live, the disequilibrium is when Richie's niece comes into the story and her straight- forwardness makes Richie look at things in a different picture. The new equilibrium is when Richie finds the reason to live again.     

Binary Opposition - Opposites that can't be changed or fixed. Clashes that don't go well with each other. Which is the difference between Richie and his niece.

Are the two main characters compatible.

- One is an adult, one is a child.

- One is mature, one is immature.

- one is an adult but has the mind of a child, one is a child but has the characteristics of an adul

TASK 1 : MY Spirit Animal

After I did the spirit animal test I got the result of being a wolf. This means that instinct, intelligence, appetite for freedom, and awareness of the importance of social connections. This links very well to my personality as i am constantly speaking and getting to know new people to help my communicational skills and ensure that i am creating links with people and artists that i know will help me develop my skills. 

I always pay attention to what my intuition is telling me as i am always right and aware of my surroundings and what i want to go for and do in the future, i have always trusted my gut instinct when it came to what i need to do for my career and with an idea when it comes to photography to ensure i am creating my best work to my ability.
